If your shingle roof has hail damage, you can either get a new roof of the same quality as your old roof, or you can choose to spend a bit more and upgrade to a higher quality roof.
Our customer in Itasca, Texas chose to upgrade their roof to a new metal roof. Their roof showed signs of hail damage, and so the customer filed a claim with their insurance company: State Farm.
After their claim had initial approval, we moved forward with the project. While they could have chosen to simply replace their existing shingles with new shingles, they decided instead to put a new metal roof on their home.
They settled on the Burnished Slate color, which is one of our most popular colors. It’s a medium to dark brown that’s very versatile and looks great on a lot of homes.
How to Choose a Metal Roof Color in Texas
We installed the Panel-Loc Plus system, which comes with an excellent lifetime warranty from the manufacturer.
Because long term performance is so important to us, we install our metal roofs with a lot of care.
On this home we installed ice and water shield around the dormers. The reason for this is that the transition met the sidewall flashing and was low pitch. So while it’s unlikely to be an issue, we added the ice and water shield as an extra precaution.
